CBDC - Kent
CBDC-Kent is a private, non-profit community development organization that has been serving Kent County and Rogersville Parish since October 1, 1981.
Community Business Development Commissions (CBDC) promote the creation of small businesses and the expansion and modernization of existing companies by offering technical and financial assistance to entrepreneurs. ADEL-Kent-LEDA offers a broad range of services, and clients who meet criteria can obtain loans up to $75,000, loan guarantees, and investment capital. Technical assistance can take the form of consultation with other companies, advice and information.
The organization's success lies in the fact that investment decisions are made locally by an independent board of directors who are volunteers primarily from the private sector. These individuals believe in the potential of their community and are determined to reactivate the regional economy.
